52 Week Challenge: Glitzy Mermaid

Hello lovelies!

I'm so excited about today's nails that I'm not even going to bother with an intro.

So, onto the nails!

Oh man, just look at them! *insert heart eye emoji*

Here's what I used:

I think we all know that I'm a sucker for cool colored polish and glitter, so I mean, how could I not be excited about these?! I've never attempted mermaid nails before so I used PiggieLuv's fish scale nails as my guide for the mermaid tail, and then went nuts with sparkles.

These nails started with two coats of Teal Another Tail. I then used the dry brush technique to add on Low And Be Bold, which was followed by a coat of The Sky Is Our Canvas. I freehanded on the scales with the acrylic paint and my detail brush. Working one nail at a time, I added a layer of Glossy Glam and then placed the rhinestones and glequins into it while wet. Once all my nails were done, I added another layer of Glossy Glam.

These nails are over the top but I absolutely love it. Unfortunately, I couldn't wear these very long because they never would have survived a day of screen printing but I have plans to do something similar soon!
